Welcome to the Minnesota STEM Ecosystem Partnership Grant Portal
As part of the state’s investment in Minnesota’s innovation economy, the Minnesota STEM Ecosystem hosts a competitive grant program designed to support STEM learning and workforce development.
The grant portal is now closed. The Minnesota STEM Ecosystem hosted an open call for Letters of Interest (LOI), accepting submissions from August 11 – September 12, 2025. The Letters of Interest (LOI) were reviewed by a highly qualified, cross-sector review committee comprised of industry, education and nonprofit professionals. On October 21st, 50 LOI applicants were invited to complete a full application. The application portal was open from October 22 – November 24, 2025. The applications were reviewed and partnership grantees announced January 26, 2026.
To strengthen Minnesota’s statewide STEM learning infrastructure, priority was given to programs and projects that result in shared, scalable resources that demonstrate the potential to benefit multiple organizations, build capacity and generate tools, models, or outcomes that can be adapted or adopted by others in the STEM Ecosystem are highly encouraged.
The Mission of the Minnesota STEM Ecosystem is to close the STEM learning and workforce opportunity gap for all of Minnesota’s Learners! The STEM Ecosystem brings together Industry, K12 Education, Higher Education, and Out-of-School STEM Learning Programs to align formal and informal STEM education with workforce needs, expand access to high-quality programming, and drive innovation and workforce development through regional and statewide collaboration.
